REDEFINING CORDLESS POWER TOOL EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY FAST CHARGING
Wide bandgap semiconductors, especially Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN), are transforming the performance landscape of cordless power tools.
One of the major challenges for cordless tools is delivering stronger power output and longer operating time within the limits of a compact battery pack. SiC MOSFETs and diodes, with their high frequency and high efficiency characteristics, significantly increase the switching frequency of motor drive systems while reducing switching losses. This enables motors to run at higher speeds and deliver greater torque and power, making tools feel noticeably stronger and more responsive. At the same time, improved power conversion efficiency directly extends battery runtime.
On the charging side, GaN HEMTs (High Electron Mobility Transistors) offer ultra-high switching speeds that make it possible to design compact, lightweight, and ultra-fast chargers. Battery packs can be fully charged in 20 minutes, dramatically improving workflow efficiency and user convenience.
