SiC MOSFETs, diodes, IPMs, and Silicon IGBT modules are the key technologies of modern energy and power electronics.
SiC devices offer high frequency operation, high efficiency, and excellent thermal performance, enabling substantial improvements in renewable energy systems. In PV/storage inverters, SiC MOSFETs and diodes achieve over 99% efficiency, increasing power generation output. In EV systems, SiC modules enhance range and enable fast charging. SiC also reduces losses and system size in chargers, smart grid equipment, and industrial motor drives.
IGBT modules, with their maturity and cost advantages under high voltage and high current applications, remain widely used in high power applications such as HVDC, rail transportation, and wind power converters.
In the future, SiC and IGBT will continue to coexist, offering complementary strengths and jointly supporting the evolution of energy systems towards higher efficiency, reliability, and compactness, achieving national carbon-neutrality.
