Gallium Nitride (GaN), as a leading wide-bandgap semiconductor technology, is reshaping consumer electronics. GaN HEMTs enable ultra-high switching frequencies, allowing power converters to use smaller magnetic components while achieving much higher efficiency. This has driven the development of a new generation of compact fast chargers, ranging from 30W to 500W, for smartphones, laptops, and other portable devices. GaN’s high-frequency and low-loss characteristics also support high-end Class-D audio amplifiers, helping reduce distortion and improve sound quality, while expanding into home appliances, robotics, and smart home systems.
Silicon Carbide (SiC), with its strong high-temperature and high-voltage performance, is increasingly used in high-power consumer applications, providing stable and reliable power support for premium devices.
